Blind since birth and having faced mental health challenges from a young age, Heather Hutchison is no stranger to overcoming obstacles. Born into a world where the odds are so often stacked against people with disabilities, Heather has carved a path to a successful and fulfilling life, and is passionate about helping others to find their own way.
Heather started speaking at only six years old, giving classroom presentations to help educate playground bullies about inclusion. She went on to become a best-selling author, award-winning singer/songwriter and successful digital content creator. Using the lessons gleaned from these experiences, Heather now offers keynote presentations and training for organizations around the globe. Her clients include universities, medical associations, businesses, schools and advocacy groups.
Using humour, vulnerability and striking honesty, Heather crafts relatable messages that educate and inspire, whether she is speaking at an event, or to her hundreds of thousands of active and engaged social media followers. Heather’s story empowers people from all walks of life to overcome, to hope, and to find human connection in our similarities while celebrating our differences.
